Portals

print
Portals are the only access to Mostlandia. Unintentional entry to Mostlandia is often noticed by feelings of being completely unfamiliar with a very familiar street; a sudden fondness for the natural lighting of a particular location at a particular time; or a pleasant situation that occurs during the course of a normally routine task. Oftentimes, the existing portal expels the traveller almost immediately after they have entered Mostlandia, causing the traveller to have feelings of slight disorientation and general questions regarding the accepted concepts of "time" or "space".

Portals to Mostlandia are categorized as such:

Transitory Temporal portals: These are the most common entry points to Mostlandia, with points that may open any where, at any given time. They are not likely to repeat in one place, and are exceedingly difficult to locate. These portals are most likely to cause confusion about sense of place.
Transitory Permanent portals: These portals are always present, but often shift from place to place within a certain neighborhood. A portal that exists on 19th Street one day might exist at 16th Street the nex day.
Fixed Temporal portals: The portals open sporadically, but always in fixed locations. Perhaps a portal may be open to Mostlandia during September of one year, but the next year it opens in November. These portals are very rare.
Fixed Permanent portals: The rarest of portals, fixed permanent portals are reliable entry points to Mostlandia. There are four known human embodiments of this type of portal, and they are encapsulated in the arts group the MOST. The one known fixed permanent portal to Mostlandia exists in Paperville Ohio, USA.
